Aloha

Today was like that scene in the Titanic when the propellers turn on and churn up silt and cloud the cameras. Not in a confrontational way, but like when you clean your room and find all this stuff you forgot about and flashpan sentimentality sets in because you know you can't keep these things that have managed to somehow remain very dear to you.

Anyways, the moral of the story is: I wish life had conspired to create a space in which we could be friends. But alas. I used to think that when you said things like "I know you'll find someone" or "I'm not surprised you're doing well" you were just saying them. But listening to you today I realized that you're gonna do wonderful things for the world, and the world, in turn, will do wonderful things for you.

You've always known a lot about parts of life that I haven't, things which have taken me too long to learn. But thanks for being the catalyst for that learning process, even if it's accompanied by indefinite absence. You're one-in-seven-billion and I'm happy just knowing you're out there for the universe to enjoy.
