To a real, if estranged, lover

       I've decided to
               say this in fractured haiku,
I got your letter.

     It made me happy,
                                I will probably respond,
                                               Though I don't know when...

                                                                              I've tried to respond
                                        but your absence so much
appreciated.


                 I ebb and I flow
                      Your words renewed a hope that
I do not want yet

                               Thank you,                                                                    I miss you...
But the silence is so good.
