I ache when I recognize the strain that was forced upon our relationship just as it was getting chugging. I was talking to my mom about it today. I feel like there's a plant that was shoved in direct sunlight and watered as if it lived in partial shade. But Libby said most plants die after such harsh conditions, and it should say something that this one seems still eager to grow.

I have a lot of writing that's just too hefty hefty hefty for my heart to be cool with showing you, but I hope the other gifts you shall unwrap in a few days succeed in making you smile. That's all I want, anyway. To see you smile and hear you laugh and know I made you do it, as opposed to all of the other emotions I've evoked along my troubled journey.
